Here are some ways you can be involved in missions at BFC, both locally and abroad!

Trip to Eswatini 2024
This July 18-29 BFC is joining with Living Word Church from Houston, TX to send a team to Eswatini. Everyone is welcome whether you are a pastor, student, business professional, physician, nurse, or someone who just loves to serve. For more information on this team check out our team application.

Join a Firewood Team with Mike Brooks
It is a blessing how our abundance of firewood is greatly needed for individuals on the reservations of Arizona and New Mexico. Join a team traveling to Gallup, NM this May 18-22 or serve throughout the year with Mike Brooks who leads firewood work days, in which firewood is chopped into pieces and loaded onto a truck. This firewood is then delivered to people of all ages who do not have running water or heat in their home.

For more information contact Pastor Mike at mike.brooks76@gmail.com.

Join a Pre-Teen Mission Team
Our Preteens are striving to serve God and others. One tangible way that we are living this out is through our summer mission trips. We do two mission-focused trips. Our fifth graders will stay in Oklahoma City serving one another, our local church, and our community. We will work with local community organizations to bring support with just good hard work! Our sixth graders will travel to another Nazarene Church in Springfield, MO this June 17-21 where they will stay and serve. We will spend focused time with God, one another, and serve together to make a difference in the lives in each of the communities we will serve. For more information, contact Pastor Kori Hooper, Pastor to Preteens and Families at khooper@bethanynaz.org.

Stay up-to-date with our Eswatini Partnership
BFC continues to have a vibrant ministry in Eswatini under the leadership of our Coordinators Harlan and Barbi Moore and our Eswatini staff Sabelo Dlamini and Bongiwe Mdluli. While we would love to send a team this summer, we are continuing to monitor the situation with Covid-19 in Eswatini and surrounding countries. Please let Barbi Moore know your interest to serve and she will keep you updated on the status of a future team. In the meantime, follow the Moore’s Swazi Journey Facebook page for updates on current happenings in Eswatini.

Support Afghan Refugees
Governor Stitt has invited 1,800 Afghan refugees to Oklahoma with 1,000 to OKC and 800 to Tulsa. Catholic Charities is taking the lead to welcome these men and women and to find suitable housing. Our role is to furnish their apartment or home and to befriend them. Are you interested in helping? If so, contact Barbi Moore at bmoore@bethanynaz.org

Give to Alabaster during the months of February and October
The Alabaster offering provides funds for the purchase of land and construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes of missionaries and national workers around the world. If you’d like to participate in Alabaster, please mark your gift “Alabaster.”

Participate in our annual Swazi 5K
Your participation in the Swazi 5K helps to support ministries in Eswatini and our own After School program. You can volunteer, participate in the race, or join our Swazi 5K Committee to help plan the race! The Swazi 5K takes place each September. For more information, contact Barbi Moore at bmoore@bethanynaz.org.
